TTL provided the initial asbestos survey, abatement specification, ongoing project management, and on-site asbestos air monitoring services for the First Presbyterian Church in Victoria, Texas. This project posed different risks due to the fact that the sanctuary included 30-foot ceilings and a balcony with walls and ceiling materials that tested positive for asbestos and required abatement. In addition to the sanctuary, abatement activities were also conducted at the on-site day school. TTL’s staff was able to work with the abatement contractor so the day school would be the first area successfully abated in order for build back to begin, resulting in the day school reopening. TTL’s clearance criteria included a visual assessment and air sampling (Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) in the on-site school) on-site. TTL was able to complete the project on budget and on time.
