Services performed on this $500,000 project included environmental, surveying, civil engineering, construction staking, resident inspection, and construction administration. The project scope required replacement of the 24-inch diameter water mains within the floodplain and within state highway right-of-way. The project was designed and constructed according to State Revolving Loan fund requirements. The project access was difficult and required coordination with the adjacent private property owner, the City of Tuscaloosa, and the Alabama Department of Transportation. The project design allowed for a minimum project area, reducing the potential for environmental impacts, and reducing the project budget
