TTL has been engaged for decades in comprehensive projects at two of Nissan’s four U.S. manufacturing/production facilities in Smyrna and Decherd, TN, and the NNA U.S. headquarters in Franklin, TN. The Smyrna plant is renowned as the most productive car assembly plant in North America, with an annual output of more than 640,000 vehicles. Our services for this automotive giant include civil engineering, geotechnical services, construction materials engineering and testing, metals-certified welding Special Inspections, and land surveying.
CHALLENGE
For nearly three decades, TTL has faced the challenge of providing these specialized services across multiple locations that encompass a wide variety of facility types and projects. The diversity and scale of the projects, ranging from expansions and new facilities to parking lots and industrial structures, have demanded a high level of adaptability and expertise.
SOLUTION
After successfully completing more than 40 projects, TTL has leveraged its extensive expertise to effectively manage geotechnical and materials testing for various projects. These have included facility expansions, new facility constructions, industrial facilities, and parking lots across multiple locations in Tennessee.
In line with the client's commitment to sustainability and green initiatives, much of TTL's work has supported the production of electric and low emission combustion automobiles. Our role has extended beyond testing and inspections to providing comprehensive engineering services for a myriad of projects. These include facility expansions, equipment renovations, greenfield plant developments, property condition assessments, pavement and roadway evaluations, and work on a battery plant.
