Fascinated at how an uncle’s engineering work could change and transform the world, Rick followed into what has become a 30-year career improving the quality of life for numerous cities and growing suburbs. An Alabama native, Rick’s work has taken him across the country and led to new government facilities, schools, parks, university amenities, and financial institutions, among others. An avid cyclist, reader, and industry leader, when Rick isn’t working for clients, he is shaping the future of engineering through his tireless work with The University of Alabama. Because no matter what marks are left by Rick’s dedication and commitment, he knows a future is coming for the engineers after him. Seeing that they perform the job ethically and honorably, with passion and authenticity, is all he seeks to leave behind.
