TTL Announces Lee Garrison as Vice President of External Affairs

TTL welcomes the addition of Lee Garrison, who brings a unique combination of public service leadership, finance expertise, and widespread community relationships, as our first Vice President of External Affairs.

In this role, we believe Lee will bolster the firm’s continued growth and its commitment to serving clients throughout the region.

“Lee’s experience brings tremendous value to TTL and to the communities we serve,” said TTL Chief Executive Officer Dean McClure. “I firmly believe his understanding of how public entities plan, prioritize, and fund critical infrastructure investments will serve to help us better support our clients as they navigate increasingly complex projects and long-term needs.”

Based in our corporate hometown of Tuscaloosa, AL, Lee has built a career focused on public service.

Prior to joining TTL, Lee dedicated almost 25 years to elected service while providing investment banking services to municipalities, higher education institutions, utilities, healthcare providers, and other public entities.

After serving four terms on the Tuscaloosa City Council, during which he chaired the Council’s Finance Committee, he later was elected and served one term as Chair of the Tuscaloosa City Board of Education, where his leadership helped lead a $250 million strategic plan focused on education and infrastructure improvements.

In this newly created role with TTL, Lee will help expand and strengthen relationships with public-sector clients, community partners, and industry stakeholders. We believe his experience will provide valuable insight into the intersection of infrastructure planning, community priorities, and funding strategies – all of which can help TTL clients identify opportunities and successfully advance projects that improve the communities where we all live, work, and play.

Away from the office, Garrison remains active in his community and statewide, serving on the Board of Directors of the Business Council of Alabama and as a board member of the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce. He has also held leadership roles with the United Way of West Alabama Campaign Cabinet, Black Warrior Council of the Boy Scouts of America, American Red Cross West Alabama Chapter, Visit Tuscaloosa, Black Warrior Solid Waste Disposal Authority, and Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama.

A graduate of The University of Alabama, Garrison holds a Bachelor of Science degree with concentrations in finance and real estate along with FINRA Series 7, 52, and 63 licenses.
