Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority QA Services
Under a five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, TTL has been providing a range of quality assurance and survey services for the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) at Nashville International Airport (BNA) and John C. Tune Airport (JWN). These services encompass field and laboratory testing, Special Inspections, and surveying.
CHALLENGE
The primary challenge in fulfilling this contract with MNAA lies in prioritizing projects while accommodating the client’s operational schedules. Given the airport's continuous operations, much of the work must be scheduled during off-peak hours and/or requires multiple dedicated personnel at any given time. Additionally, the breadth of services required under the contract necessitates a team that is not only versatile and capable but also specifically qualified to meet both the client's unique needs and stringent FAA and local codes requirements.
SOLUTION
To effectively meet these demands, our TTL team has adopted a flexible working schedule, operating seven days a week – including nights and weekends – and managing multiple concurrent projects. Our key areas of involvement include rehabilitation and installation of airfield pavement, construction of a new facility for international arrivals, various concourse additions including a new satellite concourse, airport hangars, an air traffic control tower, and the development of parking areas and garages.
From a project management and field staff standpoint, our team possesses the requisite qualifications and expertise to meet MNAA’s ongoing needs efficiently. Our extensive experience in delivering the wide range of services required under this contract has been instrumental in successfully executing our responsibilities and contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of the airport's facilities.
