In the wake of last month’s catastrophic flooding along the Guadalupe River in Kerr County, Texas, TTL employees mobilized to support those affected and bring relief where it's needed most.

With floodwaters reaching record levels and devastating local youth camps, RV parks, and homes, several San Antonio team members stepped in, each in their own way, to help the region recover.

For Office Administrator Leah Martinez, the decision to get involved was personal.

“I have kids and grandkids the same age as those at Camp Mystic,” she said. “It’s just heartbreaking.”

With deep ties to Kerrville through her husband Leonard, a contractor and aircraft mechanic working closely with local clients, Leah coordinated a donation drive at the TTL office. This led to items like diapers, bleach, clothing, and hygiene products being collected and delivered to the area.

She also encouraged donations to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, which supports first responders and cleanup efforts.

“It’s just everything you could possibly think of that they need,” she said.

Ray Weger, RLS, a regional leader in San Antonio, and his wife Deb, responded with their passion – animal rescue.

“The devastation is enormous and heartbreaking,” Ray said.

Through God’s Dogs Rescue, their local animal relief organization, they’ve been delivering aid to overwhelmed animal shelters and working alongside aerial search and rescue teams.

Living just 40 minutes from Kerrville, they also brought food, cleaning supplies, and support to wildlife rescues like Buck Wild Rescue.

“It’s what we do,” Deb said. “The animals are where our heart is.”

Air Monitor Technician Deborah Salahuddin said she also expects to assist with recovery for the foreseeable future.

After spending helping out during a recent weekend, she’s committed to returning every other week for as long as needed.

“It’s important that we show up for the people who need relief,” she said. “It’s hard but necessary work.”

Volunteering through a local relief organization, she’s been helping clean up flood-damaged homes and properties.

“The water was above my head,” she said, recalling seeing storm debris on elevated clotheslines and empty swaths of land where homes and structures once stood.

From donating supplies to performing manual labor in the Texas heat, TTL’s team is showing up with compassion, determination, and a sense of shared responsibility, proving that when disaster strikes, TTL’s people step up.

“This is close to home,” Ray said, “and the need doesn’t disappear overnight.”
